Unified Building Group (UBG) was selected as the general contractor to build a 25,067 SF facility for the world’s largest technology, electric vehicle, and clean energy company.  UBG will renovate the exterior site facade along with tenant improvement of the interior which will include complete demolition, upgrade of finishes, mechanical, electrical, plumbing and life safety infrastructure to accommodate a new sales, service areas, new offices, and restrooms.  The service area will receive new vehicle lifts.  Both the customer and service areas will receive new interior finishes and lighting upgrades.  This new facility will be utilized as a sales and retail center in addition to operating an electric automobile repair/service.  What makes this facility so innovative is servicing an electric automobile is different from servicing a gas-powered car.  These vehicles have no internal combustion engine.  These vehicles are exclusively electric and not hybrid, accordingly, there is no exhaust system, no fuel tanks, no liquid fuel usage, no used or used motor oil, no noise from the vehicles, and no emissions like hydrocarbon and carbon monoxide that are emitted from an automobile powered by an internal combustion engine.  Instead of an engine, an electric motor powers these vehicles.  These electric motors require little to no maintenance.
