Project Overview

Unified Building Group (UBG) was selected based on past experiences in completing logistically challenging projects, similar in size, scope, complexity, and fast track capabilities.  UBG was contracted to provide full pre-construction and construction management services for FOB DevCo to build a new quick-service restaurant on Denver’s world famous Mile High City  16th street mall in downtown Denver.   The scope of work consisted of a complete renovation and tenant improvement of a new restaurant within Denver historical registered building district in Denver’s bustling downtownSafety, over communication and teamwork, was a necessity during all phases.  Unified was responsible for all project management, site supervision, & safety required for the interior structural and non-structural demolition of existing spaces along with new construction of structural steel support and utility chase installation to accommodate their new kitchen hood system including make-up air & rooftop units from the lower basement through occupied spaces to the 6th stories, new dining area and office space. UBG coordinated with local utilities, fire department, building department, building landowner, existing occupied residential HOA & commercial space tenants.  UBG was successful in meeting the accelerated schedule while concurrently providing savings to the owner by beating budget.  “We love building in cities” The history of this building (Late 1800s) was amazing.   As always in building in downtown conditions; logistics, coordination, and accuracy was a pure necessity to work around occupied residential and commercial tenants.  UBG takes enjoys and takes great pride in tackling complex and specialty projects.
